A grant from the Community Initiatives Budget bought Hull FoE a shredder and an ex-milk float.

Depending entirely on volunteers, we've been operating since 2003 in the Avenues area (including Ella Street), and from March 2004 we included Newland Park in our round.

We collect the garden waste on Mondays (not bank holidays), and take it to Newland Avenue allotments. We no longer shred the material as the shredder was not up to the task. Our new CARGO project turns the garden waste into compost...
